| PT CRUISER
Chrysler's PT Cruiser is a car to take back the street
The Cruiser is wheels in a zoot suit, writes Brian Byrne. A forceful front with an uncompromising rear. A motor with a message. Youre going places, buddy, and you dont need a sultry brunette on your arm to arrive. And if you really have to tote the bootleg booze as well as the boozers, all will arrive at the speakeasy in style. Full Story.

JEEP CHEROKEE
Cherokee loses 'charm', gains more (Jul 02)
For many owners, part of the charm of the old Jeep Cherokee which negotiated mud, rivers and rocks for 18 years was its distinctive American West look, both outside and in, writes Brian Byrne. Having this made up in some part for archaic and hard suspension, indifferent comfort, an engine that fired its first spark in the early 60s, and a view of driving ergonomics that was left in the wilderness by the civilised world around 20 years ago.

Chasing around with the Cherokee (Apr 03)
The name Jeep conjures up visions of rugged vehicles tackling mountain passes and forest trails, writes Trish Whelan. The promise of adventure in strange places, such as, famously, the Rubicon Trail in California, one of the most inhospitable places on earth with rock-strewn ravines and near vertical drops. The modern Jeep Cherokee was designed to take such terrain in its stride.

Chrysler Airflite is no pushmobile (Mar 03)
Greg Howell, who headed the exterior design team for the Chrysler Airflite that was the company's star concept at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, is clearly proud of the result, writes Brian Byrne. Howell is one of the very young new car designers, and he says he's been 'working on cars since I was six years old'. Perhaps that's what happens to kids who grow up in the shadow of Motor City USA.
