28 August 2002: The Ford Dealers of Ireland are gearing up for winter with a special offer to Ford customers to have their car serviced. All owners of Ford cars of 3 years or older are being offered a standard service and safety check for just E78.

The offer runs until the end of December and covers brakes, shock absorbers, suspensions, steering and tyres.

“Regular servicing is first and foremost a safety issue, but it’s also about maintaining the value of the car,” comments Michael Quinlan, Customer Service Manager, Ford Ireland. “It’s clearly of greater importance as the age of the car increases – thus the orientation of this special offer towards vehicles of three years and older. It should hold particular appeal for drivers facing the National Car Test.”

The advertising campaign supporting the initiative focuses on the close relationship people enjoy with their cars, communicating the offer as a ‘special treat for a loved one’.

Customers availing of the offer will have the opportunity of winning a holiday voucher to the value of E1,000.
