21 February 2003: Ford is unveiling a Fusion Plus version of its Fiesta-based MPV at Geneva this year. It features exterior design enhancements including unique alloy wheels, a full perimeter body kit, and a unique front grille treatment, plus privacy glass.
The car will show an optional rear-seat entertainment system with DVD, CD and MP3 capability. A rear-seat activity console providing up to 10.7 litres of additional stowage space is also provided, plus a 12-volt rear seat power point.
There will also b new stowage pockets for small items: one on the front edge of drivers seat cushion and one on the inner face of drivers seat backrest.
The Fusion Plus retains the current choice of three engines, including the 1.4-litre 68 PS Duratorq TDCi, and will have available the Durashift EST auto-manual transmission. There will also be an optional Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).
The new version will have a unique upper grille has a unique light metallic grey centre section and satin aluminium surround, and its bodyside mouldings, bumper inserts and tailgate handle are all body-coloured. A new all-round, self-colour body kit has been added.
Dark-tinted privacy glass is featured from the B-pillar rearwards, allowing rear-seat passengers optimal viewing of their entertainment screen.
