Star cars at Geneva 04

The Geneva Motor Show had an eclectic mix of new and concept cars this year.

They included the Audi A6 in its next generation (above), and the 5-Series Touring wagon version (below).

Citroen showed a concept Sport version its upcoming C4, which will replace the ageing Xsara.

A new Fiat Multipla is is stretched a little in length and has a major new front. And the Ford Fiesta ST (below) was the main interest on the blue oval's stand.

Mazda showed a 6-seat MPV concept, the MX-Flexa, and Mini went topless at Geneva with the first public unveiling of the cabriolet version.

Mitsubishi had its new Colt, coming to Ireland later this year. Opel revealed the new Tigra coupe-cabriolet, and Peugeot gave the first public showing of its 407.

SEAT's Altea sports compact people carrier was the main subject on that brand's stand.

The next generation Octavia (above) was the highlight of the Skoda stand, and Toyota showcased the new Corolla Verso (below).

Volvo got a lot of reaction for its YCC concept (below), designed by a core team of women with women's views in mind.
