Upgraded Accent for Ireland in April

05 March 2003: GENEVA MOTOR SHOW Eugene O'Reilly of Hyundai Ireland is feeling pretty confident about the refreshed Accent due in Ireland in April. But he wasn't giving anything away about whether prices will change much when IrishCar.Com caught up with him at the Geneva Motor Show today.

"All I can say is that it will be coming into Ireland with the same great specification as before," he said. "And we're going to have the full range - 3-door, 4-door and 5-door, all powered by the well-proven 1.3-litre engine already familiar to current Accent owners."

The car has been subtly refined for 2003, with better interior materials and a freshened cockpit interface. "It gives it the look and feel of a much more upscale automobile," O'Reilly said. "There's also been meaningful improvements in performance, as well as in active and passive safety."
