29 January 2002: An IBM/Peueot linkup will bring car servicing problem-solving to the Internet for mechanics across the world, making globally available an e-diagnostic system which has previously been only accessible by a limited PGA Group Intranet.
E-diagnostics will help mechanics resolve problems faster and more accurately using the world wide web for an instant diagnosis and recommended solution.
Service technicians will connect each vehicle's on-board computer via a telephone line. Problems will be offered a range of solutions based on information available on the central database. A technician can also be connected with a live engineer for one-to-one help.
