Diesel power for Jaguar S

08 March 2004: The introduction of an all-new V6 Diesel engine marks yet another milestone in the evolution of Jaguar's S-TYPE premium executive saloon.

The arrival of the twin-turbo AJD-V6 engine - which will be available from June 2004 - means that, for the first time, S-TYPE buyers will be able to choose diesel power as an alternative to the existing four petrol engine options.

Maximum power from the 2.7 litre engine is 206bhp and torque peaks at 435Nm.

The car comes with a standard six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic.
