25 March 2003: A new top-of-the-range GTi version of the Peugeot 206 SW has arrived to complete the model line-up. It costs E26,295 and the 2.0 litre engine outputs 138bhp.

Features include aluminium pedals and gear knob, leather seat trim, sports front seats, leather steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels. Standard safety features include ABS, electronic brake force distribution, emergency brake assist, side airbags, variable power steering and automatic rain sensing front wipers.

The car has a maximum speed of 130mph with a 0-62 acceleration of 9.3 seconds. It has a combined fuel economy figure of 35.8mpg.

The 206 SW is available in Ireland in a 1.1, 1.4, 1.4 HDi, 1.6 and now in a 2.0 litre petrol version. Prices for the range start at E16,190.
