New Lexus GS in March

07/10/04: by Trish Whelan — The new Lexus GS300 made its European debut at the Paris Motor Show.

Though only 20mm longer than its predecessor, the new GS combines a 50mm longer wheelbase with short front and rear overhangs, a wider rear tread and broad shouldered wheel arches to accommodate 18" alloys.

The new GS will be offered with a choice of either 4.3-litre V8 or new, direct injection 245 bhp 3-litre V6 petrol engines, both mated to an all-new, close ratio, 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift mode. Adaptive Variable Suspension offers a choice of two damper settings.

The new GS is expected to be on Irish roads in March 2005.
