Watch those lights!

27 November 2003: RAC Ireland has issued a warning to motorists to make sure they can see and be seen in the early dark evenings and while commuting to work in the dark mornings during the depths of the winter period.

They advise city motorists to be aware that even if the area they’re driving in is well lit, they must still have their lights on at night.

The organisation also warns against driving with only one headlight, where the offending car could be mistaken for a motorcycle, with the possibiulity of serious accident occurring.

Fog lamps must only be used in foggy conditions, as their design makes them dazzling to other motorists under normal night driving conditions.

Modern cars have lights height adjustment to compensate for heavy loading. Use it. Also make sure that lights are properly aligned.
