New Land Rover discovery on sale in UK from 1 June

31 May 2002: The new Land Rover Discovery which goes on sale in UK Land Rover dealerships from 1 June, features a new look, revised interiors and a number of significant technical enhancements designed to improve both its on- and off-road ability.

There are more than 700 changes to the latest Discovery. Improvements include a new Land Rover ‘family face’ inspired by the latest Range Rover, new rear tail lights, new front bumper and grille, and new interior trim colours. Brakes and suspension have both been improved, and a centre differential lock is now available to improve the Discovery’s off-road ability. Refinement and build quality have also been enhanced.

The Discovery is already the best-selling large 4x4 in the UK. It has dominated that market since the original model was launched.

No prices or availability have yet been announced for the Irish market.
