Mazda MX-Flexa shows style direction

14 April 2004: The Mazda MX-Flexa concept demonstrates one possible direction Mazda could take for a future people carrier, a segment which has grown by more than 200 per cent in the five largest European markets.

The vehicle styling includes what Mazda design people call an 'athletic tension' which has been a theme of many recent products, including the new Mazda RX-8 and recently launched Mazda3.

The Mazda MX-Flexa concept is based on architecture borrowed from the Mazda3 and is powered by a 2.3-litre 4-cylinder engine with 169bhp and 214Nm of torque.
