Mazda making more profits

27 April 2003: Mazda says that strong cost cutting and robust sales in Europe have helped annual operating profits to increase 77%, and projected its highest income in a decade for the current business year.

Net profit at the firm came in at more than E200m, nearly three times higher than the previous year.
