Mazda revises pickups

2 April 2002: Mazda has introduced a revised B-Series Pickup with three cab options - Regular, Stretch and Double Cab. The vehicle is powered by a choice of 2.5-litre diesel engines, normally-aspirated or turbo-diesel.

The exterior details have been substantially changed, and there are a number of underskin engineering improvements, including a 13% stiffer body and chassis. Revised suspension is claimed to have improved driving dynamics significantly, and the vehicle is shod with low-profile tyres.

The Stretch Cab is aimed at people who need extra space either for passengers or for secure tools storage behind the front seats. The Double Cab has more space and two extra doors.

Car-type features include tilt-adjustable steering wheel, electric driver’s window and climate control.

All versions qualify for the commercial rate of VRT and full VAT recovery for VAT-registered owners. The price range is 15,365-23,075 euros.
