4 March 2002: The new Mazda6 will be in Ireland in June, according to John Coffey, MD of the Mazda division of MDL, who have the Irish franchise. He's pictured below with Robbie Dunne, sales manager of the division, at the launch of the car in the Geneva Motor Show today.

And as the car was revealed fully in Geneva today, the full range of Mazda's future was outlined by Mazda boss Mark Fields, who said the feeling in the company is 'Zoom Zoom'.
"Mazda is back, and Mazda is particularly back in Europe," he told assembled journalists. "We're going to roll out six new cars in a product-led strategy, and these are going to be cars that are exciting to look at, exciting to drive."
A presentation of the new concept small Mazda was also shown, and irishcar.com understands that though it is labelled a concept it is very much the finished product that is likely to hit Irish roads early next year.
The new RX-8 was also given its European premiere, the latest in a long series of Mazda rotary-engined sports cars. It will arrive in Ireland later next year.
