MX-5 rises to luggage rack

GENEVA 7 March 2002: Mazda showed a special ‘Phoenix’ version of its world-record roadster MX-5 at the Geneva Motor Show, with both the basic 1.6-litre 110bhp engine and a 1.9-litre motor outputting 146bhp.

In addition to the brown leather seats and door trim and a special treatment of the headrest supports, the car sports a Nardi leather steering wheel and a chromed centre console.

And as we saw it at Geneva, it also had on board the answer to the biggest problem of the MX-5, what to do for the long weekend in luggage terms?

(With or without partner.)

The ‘trunk rack’ can solve ‘the case’ problem. Depending on the partner’s needs, we guess.
