SLK for the warm and fuzzy

13 February 2004: A headrest that sends warm air around the seat occupant's head will be one optional feature of the second-generation Mercedes-Benz SLK which will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.

The car will also have 163bhp in the 200 Kompressor version, as well as a new 272bhp V6. A 360hp V8, with a whopping 510 Nm of torque will top out the new model's lineup.

The AMG version will have a seven-speed automatic transmission with AMG-SPEEDSHIFT and steering wheel gearshift buttons.

A total of over 7,000 orders have already been taken across Europe, and German prices range from €33,524 for the entry-level model to €63,974.
