28 December 2002: The 2003 Mitsubishi Pajero has been given significant re-styling treatment after two decades as a significant contender in the 4x4 sector.
The latest styling changes come from French designer Olivier Boulay They start with a new front grille, revised headlights and colour-keyed front bumpers. There are also simplified side body mouldings and a new design of alloy wheels complete the picture.
Overall the look has more curves than straight edges, and all Pajeros now have a larger chrome Mitsubishi three diamonds logo.
Mitsubishis Direct Injection Diesel technology (DI-D) 3.2-litre 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC engine with turbocharger and intercooler is employed across the Pajero range and has improved fuel economy by up to 15% when compared to the previous 2.8 indirect injection diesel units. Fuel consumption is 26.9 to 29.7mpg on the combined cycle.
