Sleek new Opel concept for Geneva

21 February 2003: A special Opel concept car which will be shown at Geneva in two weeks' time - the GTC Genève - will use design cues which have already been seen in studies like the Snowtrekker and in production models like the Speedster and the Vectra.

The car has a tinted, transparent roof that stretches from the windshield to the rear window, and the design team took the GTC´s proportions (length/width/height: 4.349/1.773/1.352 meters) to the extreme.

A tapering which begins just in front of and just behind the wheelarches, emphasises the car's short overhangs and creates a powerful tension that makes the GTC look as if it is ready to pounce.

The GTC Genève also features large, three-dimensional headlights and taillights, and its interior features Cashmere and brown leather upholstery.
