Peugeot 807 imminent in Ireland

28 January 2003: Peugeot’s new top-of-the-range people carrier, the 807, will arrive in Irish dealer showrooms by next month.

The vehicle is offered in a choice of two trims levels (SR and ST) and in a choice of a 2.0 litre petrol 138bhp, 2.0 litre HDi turbo diesel 110bhp and 2.2 litre HDi turbo diesel 136bhp.

Prices start at E36,495 for the 2.0 litre petrol SR version and rise to E43,000 for the 2.2 HDi turbo diesel STDT version, all prices ex works.

Standard safety features include driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags (all three rows of seats have curtain airbags), ABS, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, emergency brake assist and auto illumination of the warning lights.

Notably, even before its Irish launch, the 807 was already awarded 4-stars for safety in the Euro NCAP safety tests.

Additional standard features on board the Peugeot 807 include a remote control radio & mono CD player, automatic climate control, trip computer, variable power steering, row-2 side sunblind, plip control central locking, automatic central locking when the vehicle is moving, automatic reopening of doors if vehicle is not opened within 30 seconds, electric/heated door mirrors, electric front windows and an athermic windscreen.

The level two ST version gains alloy wheels, row-3 side sunblind, swiveling front seats and center armrests, electrically operated folding mirrors and velour upholstery.

With the possibility of multiple configurations or the removal of any of the seven individual seats to suit the driver and his load, the new 807 is also available with 8 seats at no extra cost: an optional bench-seat can be fitted for two people in the third row, rather than one.
