Weekend rally thrills at Punchestown

19 July 2002: Colin McCrae, Andrew Nesbitt and Austin McHale are leading a top 15 of contenders that will see a a plethora of various WRC and Group N cars tear around the perimeter tarmac at Punchestown this weekend in the Punchestown Rally Experience.

Natalie Barrett in her Hyundai Accent WRC is the only woman driver in the event.

After official documentation and scrutiny which begins at 11am Saturday, the event opens to the public for four hours beginning 3pm on Saturday.

On the Sunday, gates open to the public at 9.30am and will consist of a series of times events beginning at 11.15am and running on until 4.40pm. Prize giving is at 5.40pm and there will be a party at the Citywest Hotel from 8pm.
