27 February 2003: Renault will unveil the first of two new Scenic MPVs at next week's Geneva show, a 5-seater, and a 7-seater Grand Scenic will come on line in 2004.

The original Scenic created the compact MPV segment and still dominates it, along with Opel's Zafira which estanblished its own share because of its unique and patented 7-seat foldaway system.

But new competition from both Ford and Volkswagen will also debut at the Geneva show - the Ford Focus C-Max and VW Touran have been delayed, but now are ready to take a chare of one of the fastest growing niches.
