Road rules are for other people, not for Jack or Jill ...

The red car in the middle of the picture came out from the left on the filter lane from which he should have turned to his left and away from us. Then he changed his mind and instead of going the way he should have until he could make a proper return, he decided to negotiate his way across in front of two cars stopped at the lights, crossing a solid white line in the process

He’s caused a major problem there. But he didn’t care. It's another case of 'I’m OK, Jack. Pull up the drawbridge, I’ve got away with it again'.

This annoys me. It’s always young drivers get the blame for accidents and bad driving, but if they are watching the older drivers doing all these things wrong, what else can you expect of them?

Please, please, drive properly or don't drive at all. You might get away with it, but you may be showing somebody ELSE how to get themselves killed, or kill someone else ...

BACK TO ROSEMARY MAIN

This is a series of observations based on drives with rally ace and driving teacher Rosemary Smith. It is IrishCar.Com's contribution with Rosemary to making driving and roads design in Ireland safer, and while any situation we feature may not be yours today, it might have been yesterday or could well be tomorrow.
And we might be putting YOU in the picture!
